חיישן הספק ה-5018D RF לעולם אינו דורש כיול בשטח, אלא רק פעם בשנה (NIST). דגם זה מודד הספק ממשי ממוצע, הספק שיא ומחזור פעולה (Duty Cycle) ישירות עם רמת דיוק יוצאת מן הכלל, ומשתמש במדידות מדויקות אלה לחישוב מגוון רחב של פקטורים חשובים אחרים, כגון VSWR, הפסד החזר, מקדם החזרה, גורם שיא, הספק פרץ ממוצע, ו-CCDF.
